The Name “Arouca”
The name refers to the profoundly religious northern region of Portugal, which for many centuries was home to the Abbey of St. Bartholomew until its suppression in the nineteenth century.
Founded at Fatima’s Anniversary
Arouca Press was founded on October 13, 2018—the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima.

Our fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church—which cannot be split into a “past” and a “present” Magisterium—is grounded in a radical adherence to eternal truths that can never change.
